Q: Who would benefit from working with the Boston Career Counselor?
A: Career counseling is right for you if:
- You're not happy in your current job, but don't know what else to do.
- You have absolutely no idea what kind of career you'd like.
- You know what job you want, but aren't getting responses to your resume.
- You get interviews, but not job offers.
- You want help improving your job search, networking and/or strengthening your online profile.
Q: Why do you offer a month of email support?
A: I want you to get the absolute most you can out of working with me, and to know you always have someone to go to for help.
Q: What if I only want help with career direction, my resume or my interview skills?
A: If all you need is help with your resume, no problem. If you "sign up" for resume help, but want to ask questions about networking, linkedin.com or whether the job you're seeking is right for you, that's okay too! I'm here to help you in any way I can. Check out some of the services I offer.
Q: Can I meet with you before committing to anything?
A: Absolutely. It's important that we click and feel like we'll work well together. Contact me with no obligation, ask your questions and I'll do my best to advise you.
Q: Will you get me a job?
A: I don't strictly do job placement, but what I can do is help you strengthen your resume and cover letter, perfect your interview skills and plan an effective job search and networking strategy so that you can confidently go out and get the job you want.
Q: How much do your Boston career counseling services cost?
A: I like to be as honest and straightforward as I can. My rates are available on the rates page.
Q: Do I have to sign up for a minimum number of months?
A: Nope. Start with one month and stay as long as you like.
